TWO World War II bombs were detonated this morning after being discovered yesterday opposite the Motorplex building at Manby airfield on Monday.
The MOD Explosive Disposal team were called and performed a controlled explosion of the devices at 8.20am this morning.
A subcontractor from Anglian water uncovered the bombs.
Due to the failing daylight yesterday, the Explosive Disposal Team were unable to carry out detonation on the devices.
However, Lincolnshire Police were on scene and guarded the bombs overnight as a pre caution.
