Building society branches out to help charities

THE NOTTINGHAM Building Society, which has a branch in Louth, is looking to give a helping hand to local charity groups with a new grant scheme.

The Nottingham aims to offer a number of grants between £1,000 and £2,000 which groups can apply for by popping into the store or through their website.

Alan Cope, manager of the Louth branch, said: “Last year The Nottingham looked at how it might support some of the issues that most affect its community, and while the list of worthy causes was large, it became clear that education, housing and employability were three key issues for local people.”

We are now really pleased that we are able to look to support some local charitable groups that support our themes.”

Charities interested in applying can either pop into their local branch of The Nottingham or visit the website at www.thenottingham.com
