Jobs fairs in Mablethorpe and Skegness will see local employers offering 150 new jobs in a range of fields to jobseekers.

East Lindsey District Council and Jobcentre Plus have teamed up to organise the annual recruitment fairs in Mablethorpe and Skegness offering jobs in a range of fields.

The Mablethorpe Recruitment Fair takes place on Friday, February 22 at the Mablethorpe Community Hall between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

Skegness’ Recruitment Fair will take place on Thursday, March 7 at Embassy Theatre between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

The fair held in Mablethorpe in 2012 was attended by around 600 people from across the region. Around 30 per cent of those attending successfully gained employment.

As well as job opportunities, there will be recruitment and training advice available, plus apprenticeship opportunities.

South Lincolnshire Voluntary Community Service will also be attending to offer volunteering placements to help people develop new skills.

The district council and Jobcentre Plus hope the fairs will result in local people being introduced to employers who can offer more sustainable longer term jobs as well as helping employers to fill the vital seasonal jobs that become available each year.
