A certificate to record this achievement was presented to owners Mike and Jenny by Bob Foulger, CAMRA Lincolnshire Area Organiser, last night (August 4) in a bar filled with regulars who joined in the congratulations.

Louth &District CAMRA Branch members had voted the White Hart as their top real ale pub in this year’s competition, to place it up against the other Lincolnshire CAMRA Branch nominations.

All the nominated pubs were inspected and scored for the quality of the beers and other important features expected of a pub and the White Hart came out in the top position.

L&D Branch chairman, Melvin Mullens, said: “I think this is a first for L&D, as I don’t know of the Branch previously having a Pub go forward to contest the East Midlands region.

“I applaud Mike and Jenny, who continue to keep the White Hart a traditional British Pub that provides its customers with an ever changing range of exceptionally good quality real ales, freshly cooked meals of outstanding value and a wonderful place to meet friends, old and new.

“They have established the White Hart Inn as a premier country pub of consistently high standards in hospitality, food and drinks and L&D Branch members are very pleased that their efforts have been rewarded.

“We wish them all the best and we are hoping that they will go forward to the national round, they deserve to do well.”
