Grab yourself a bargain at Horncastle or Louth’s newly launched craft markets, taking place for the first time this April.
AS part of the District Council’s ongoing investment in local markets, Louth and Horncastle will host monthly craft markets in addition to their regular markets.
The second Saturday of the month will see a range of local craftspeople set up on Horncastle market.
And, on the third Saturday, Louth will be the venue for crafters.
Goodies will include handmade clothing and accessories, hampers, glassware, soap, candles and much, much more.
The council’s portfolio holder for the environment, councillor Steve O’Dare, said: “Markets remain an incredibly important focal point for all of our market towns. In recognition of this, each year we subsidise the markets to the tune of around £120k.
“The monthly craft markets will complement the regular markets as well as Horncastle and Louth’s monthly Farmers’ markets and Louth’s monthly Food Friday market, offering shoppers yet another reason to visit these towns.”
Horncastle’s first craft market of 2014 will take place on April 12 and Louth’s on April 19.
