THE future of the east coast of England will be put to the public during a wave of consultations, including one in Mablethorpe.
Plans will inform marine developers, and organisers Marine Management Organisation (MMO) are keen to see what is important to local people.
A total of 12 sessions are being held and they will also take into account seaside leisure activities such as diving and sailing, and the need to protect nature habitats. The marine economy is worth more than £47 billion to the UK each year, and has the potential to increase significantly.
Local authorities have already been consulted and the next stage is to gage public opinion on future plans.
MMO planners will be on hand at answer questions from the public.
Mablethorpe’s session takes place at the Community Hall in Stanley Avenue, from 11am-3pm and 5pm-8pm this Thursday, February 16.
