A Louth butchers has been named as a finalist in the 2012 Countryside Alliance Awards for top businesses.
The East of England’s finalists include Lakings of Louth, of Eastgate, in the Butchers category.
Businesses will be vying for one of four regional titles and the chance to advance towards of national acclaim.
The Countryside Alliance Awards, now in their eighth year, celebrate the characters, skills, traditions and enterprise of the countryside through the people who work so hard to make it tick. Each finalist has received numerous nominations from supportive customers and hopes to go all the way to the Parliamentary final next March.
Countryside Alliance East of England Regional Director William Burton commented: “These businesses represent the very best of the East of England’s produce, enterprise and community spirit and I congratulate the finalists on getting this far in what is an increasingly competitive Awards scheme.
