Springs Estates snap up Lakeside Caravan Park near Sutton on Sea
LAKESIDE Caravan Park near Sutton on Sea is now part of the expanding Springs chain after a buyout.
Springs Estates, family-run owners of Sutton Springs, Trusthorpe Springs and Anderby Springs, all around the Sutton on Sea area, have taken over the site.
The popular caravan park is currently home to 69 static caravans and a 5.2 acre fishing lake, with space for four touring caravans as well as a fully refurbished four bedroom bungalow.
Jane Collier of Springs Estates said: “As a company we have been looking to consolidate and expand, it is also important that we offer the best facilities to our site occupiers.
“The beautiful fishing lake complements the ethos of our parks which is to provide a peaceful, calm and restful escape from the demands of modern day life.
“Our company has grown organically throughout three generations.
“We are proud to have our roots in this beautiful part of England and strive to support and reinvest where we can, helping to promote and grow the local economy.”
The fishing lake at Lakeside will complement Springs Estates existing park facilities including a large heated outdoor swimming pool, and what is considered to be one of the longest fronts on the East Lincolnshire coast at Sutton Springs.
Adam Burkinshaw, Partner in Leisure at Sanderson Weatherall said, “The sale of Lakeside illustrates that the market remains buoyant for high quality caravan parks with an established business along with latent potential to improve facilities and revenues.
“The recession has seen an increase in ‘staycations’ and despite the challenging climate for caravan sales, occupancy has remained very high at Lakeside which serves as a good marker in an area with such strong competition.
“The acquisition represents a great opportunity for a long established operator to increase their offer in this location.”
