Video: Derelict bus depot in Louth is demolished

Waiting for Video...

Up to 40 extra car parking spaces will be created at Morrison’s in Louth after a disused building was flattened.

The former Stagecoach bus depot off Monks’ Dyke Road was demolished last week.

It was closed a number of years ago and has been unused since, so machinery moved in last week to knock it down.

Morrison’s say the work will take around a month and the Leader understands they are yet to decide whether to use the land for staff or customer car parking.

A spokesman said if the land was used for staff then the corresponding number of spaces would be made available elsewhere for customers.

This is part of Morrison’s expansion plans which are ongoing, look out for further updates in the Leader and online.
