An Alford-based family business has beaten major corporates to the top spot as they were crowned the winner of the IGD Business Transformation Award 2014.
LJ Fairburn and Son Ltd were competing against national food business brands which included ASDA, Quorn Foods and Wanis, but the family team claimed gold for their phenomenal business growth and restructure.
The Business Transformation Award recognises an organisation that has significantly transformed its business, causing a fundamental shift in performance.
The family business has been producing eggs locally for more than 60 years and is going from strength to strength.
Daniel Fairburn, managing director of LJ Fairburn and Son Ltd was honoured with the award win.
