A plan to demolish Louth’s former Inland Revenue offices in favour of building eight houses has been turned down.

At an East Lindsey planning committee meeting on May 23, members agreed with an officer’s report claiming that the scheme would be harmful to the conservation area - particularly the setting of the house at 13 Chequergate which is a listed building.
