A SANDILANDS hotel is celebrating after being given an award for quality accommodation and service of fine food.

The Grange and Links Hotel in Sea Lane was recognised by the Lincolnshire Today magazine for the platinum gong and staff members were delighted at receiving the award which was presented to them last week.

The hotel has been awarded in the past with AA rosettes for its well known fine cuisine.

The platinum award is given to hotels who excel in all aspects of the judging criterion, including ‘exceptional value for money, the highest quality of service, a fabulous atmosphere and consistent use of local produce’.

The hotel is part of the Sandilands 18 hole golf complex and houses 23 bedrooms, a gym, restaurant and bar.

Hotel proprietor Ann Askew said: “We’re over the moon to win such an award. It came out of the blue as we didn’t know we’d even had a mystery customer for it.

“We’ve had recognition in the past but this is definitely the best award we’ve had as it is one of the county’s leading culinary honours.”
