Louth Town Partnership is pleased to announce Serendipity in Aswell Street as the winner of this year’s Easter shop window competition.

Louth Mayor, Coun Jill Makinson Sanders, was tasked with the role of judging the competition: “As always it is so difficult to judge as we have some very talented window dressers in the town. I chose Serendipity as I was taken with how sophisticated their window was and it really lifted my spirits.”

Coming in second place was Potty about Pets in Mercer Row. The Mayor explained: “It isn’t easy for a pet shop to enter into a competition like this. I thought the window was delightful and just the kind of thing that my granddaughter would love.”

In third place was H and J Crafts in Mercer Row, which the Mayor thought was ‘a ray of sunshine in these dull, chilly times.’

Coun Makinson Sanders finished by thanking all the shop keepers who took part in the competition.

An Easter Trail is currently taking place throughout Louth and will continue throughout the half term. All completed trail maps can be exchanged for the opportunity to be entered into a draw to win an Easter hamper.

Trail maps can be collected from the Tourist Information Centre and the library.
