Shop in Louth’s independent shops - and win a hamper packed full of Easter goodies!
Louth Town Partnership is launching an Independent Retail Easter Trail to attract shoppers on Saturday March 30. Louth is one of 56 towns selected by The Retail Champion group for the Enjoy an Independent Easter campaign.
Independent traders are listed on an Easter egg hunt map. Shoppers collect ‘eggs’ - Easter egg stickers that are placed on the map - as they move from store to store.
Once completed the map is handed in at Louth Tourist Information Centre in Cannon Street where it is entered into the prize Easter hamper draw. The event runs until Saturday April 13.
Trail maps will be available from Louth Library and Tourist Information Centre as well as being handed out in schools.
All shops taking part will display a poster and will also have maps available.
Samantha Phillips, Town Partnership Coordinator, said: “Louth is so fortunate in having such a rich diversity of award-winning family-owned shops.”
Clare Rayner from The Retail Champion said: “Simple, easily managed activities such as an Easter egg hunt can really help start the process of changing consumer habits by reminding people they stand to lose their fantastic independent shops if they never visit them and never spend in them.”
