South Cockerington author’s farming book proves a hit

A BOOK by a local author has proved so popular that Wrights of Louth has booked the author for a second book signing on the morning of Friday December 2.

Conscience Hill by Ralph Needham from South Cockerington traces the changes in local farming over the generations and there are plenty of copies available for people to buy as Christmas presents.

Waterstones in Grimsby have also booked him for a signing session as Conscience Hill was their top selling book at the end of September.

There is humour and anecdotes in the book, such as the time a local character produced a rat at a whist drive!

The book has gone international with sales to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Sweden, Dubai and Ireland.

The book is also available at Book Fayre in Woodhall Spa, Manby post office and Lammimans at Sutton on Sea.
