Mablethorpe’s Golden Sands Haven holiday park has unveiled a new £1.8million environmentally-friendly swimming pool for guests.
The holiday park has recently opened its doors for the new season, and last week opened the new pool which took five months to build over the winter months.
Simon Parker, the park’s pool manager, said: “The new pool has been designed to increase bather capacity, offering space for an extra 100 bathers.
“The pool tank in approximately 200,000 litres larger than it previously was.”
The new pool has been designed to incorporate a children’s pool with water features, and offers a dedicated area for not so confident swimmers to have a safe splash around too.
The pool manufacturers have built with the environment in mind, and the new pool has a CHP (combined heat and power unit) that creates heat, which in turn creates power for the park.
The new indoor pool will join the outdoor fun pool, with a flume, to offer guests a variety to choose from.
There are Water Confidence classes for the young ones and fun inflatables session for those with bundles of energy. New for 2013 are pool kayaking lessons.
