Care home opens up for special day

DOULTON Court Care Home in Alford Road, Sutton on Sea opened its doors for a special 25th anniversary open day on Saturday, raising a whopping £278 in the process.

A tai-chi demonstration was given by Ian Hooton, there was also a BBQ, live music from Rick White, a cake sale and appearances from the Coastguard and RNLI.

Coun Joyce Taylor was on hand to open the event.

Rose Parnell, activities manager at Doulton Court Care Home, commented: “The open day was absolutely brilliant – we had people coming and going all day.

“A big thanks to everyone for their support.”

The money raised will go towards the home’s activity fund which will help to provide fun events in the future for the residents.

Look out for more events at Doulton Court, including a Halloween Party, Children in Need day and various Christmas events.
