WHAT would you do with £1 million? That is the question being put to Mablethorpe, Sutton on Sea and Trusthorpe residents as the Mablethorpe Boatshed decide how to spend a grant from the Big Local Trust.
One of the biggest consultations ever seen in our region will be asking locals to have their say.
The Big Local Trust will dish out up to £200 million to areas that have previously been overlooked for funding.
The Mablethorpe Boatshed has been tasked with overseeing the consultation, and it wants to know which issues are affecting locals and their families.
One of the pioneering discussion tools being used to engage people is a London style black taxi, the cab cam, fitted with video technology.
Consultation co-ordinator Sarah Vines said: “This is a very exciting project that gives people a real chance to have their say about their area and where best they think the money should be spent.
“We’d encourage everyone to seize this exciting opportunity to shape the future of the area.”
Look out for the cab cam as it tours the local area starting on June 15.
The consultation will take place at the Boatshed in Mablethorpe on June 13 at 12pm.
The full cab cam itinerary can be seen below.
