THE Leader of East Lindsey District Council, Coun Doreen Stephenson, has announced changes to the council’s Executive Board following a decision by CounSteve Newton to stand down from his role as Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for the Environment for personal reasons.
Coun Stephenson has appointed Coun Craig Leyland from Woodhall Spa as Deputy Leader of the Council.
Councillor Leyland will also continue as Portfolio Holder for Planning and the Economy.
Coun Tony Bridges, who is the Ward District Councillor for Tetney, will take on responsibility for the Environment Portfolio, which covers street scene related areas of work such as cleansing, refuse collection, public toilets and grounds maintenance.
Coun Stephenson said: “I would like to thank Coun Newton for his hard work whilst on the Executive Board, dealing with a number of major issues that had a direct and positive impact on the community we serve.”
