MEMBERS of the Mablethorpe and Sutton Lions club hosted some young visitors from the Chernobyl disaster area, Ukraine last week.

It is the second year running that the Lions club has organised the visit, with many local people helping out to make the trip a special one.

Mablethorpe fairground opened its doors to the group with many traders generously offering free rides, refreshments and prizes, with Robert Manning leading the way around the rides. As the day came to a close, Theresa Curry ensured each member of the group was given free candy floss.

Lions Secretary Graham Wright said: “The atmosphere was electric and the smiles on the children’s faces was priceless.”
