AFTER a successful shoe appeal from Clarks, the Louth store now wants to present a prize to the person who brings in the 300th pair of shoes.
Clarks shoe shop, located in Eastgate, has been busy taking sole responsibility in rallying support of locals for their appeal since February.
Clarks manager Rachael Wood said: “We’ve already received an overwhelming amount of support from our Shoe Biz appeal as we have collected more than 200 pairs of shoes.
“Now we are aiming to get the donations up to 300 and would like to present a prize to the person who brings in the 300th pair of shoes.”
The prize has kindly been donated to the cause by Martin’s Newsagents.
All you have to do is take an old pair of shoes into the branch. Thanks to the support of local people, UNICEF is able to support the most vulnerable children around the world to access education like those living in the remote Mae Hong Son region of Thailand.
Just one pair of shoes you donate can provide a child with a pencil and a notebook.
