THE clock is ticking for community and soluntary sector groups to submit their Community Grant application forms to East Lindsey District Council, in time for the Community Grants Round two deadline of September 13.
The Grant Scheme awards grants of up to £8,000 to ‘formally governed not for profit’ organisations and Town and Parish Councils that have community projects that they wish to deliver to benefit the residents of East Lindsey. The grants can be used to fund a variety of activities including and not limited to projects that focus on community facilities, sports and recreation, arts and heritage and environmental projects.
During round One of the 2012 Community Grant Scheme more than £64,000 was awarded to 16 organisations for their community projects. With approximately £70,000 remaining in the budget the District Council is keen to see more worthy local community projects supported.
Grant Application packs including the information guide can be downloaded from the East Lindsey District Council Website at www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/community or alternatively by contacting the Community Grants Team at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01507 601111.
