Copper power cables stolen in Louth area

A large quantity of overhead copper power cabling was stolen in the Wraghome and Fulstow area in the early hours of Tuesday morning (September 23).

Louth PCSO Andrea Cave said that the incident is believed to have taken place in Firebeacon Lane at around 2.20am when power was affected in the area.

If you have any information about the theft, call Lincolnshire Police on the non-emergency number (101) and quote incident number 31 of September 24.

PCSO Cave added: “We are experiencing a spate of thefts of copper power cabling in the rural areas and would ask any residents to report any suspicious activity or any sudden loss of power to Lincolnshire Police immediately so officers can patrol relevant areas and prevent any further crime occurring.”
