Cordeaux Academy held its annual Post-16 Open Evening last Wednesday (October 14), when parents and students had an opportunity to visit the Academy, view the courses on offer, and meet with staff and students.

After intensive work behind the scenes, this year will see the launch of the first of many apprenticeship lines.

Young people in the Louth area currently have to travel far and wide to access a route into employment through the National Apprenticeship Scheme, but now - working in close partnership with LAGAT - the Academy will see the first tranche of apprentices in Motor Vehicles begin their studies from October 28. Both parties see this as an important first step in a partnership that will see apprenticeships in Construction and Exercise and Fitness being offered shortly after.

Cordeaux Academy also offers a range of Level 1, 2 and 3 vocational courses suitable for all ability levels, which are nationally recognised and provide access to all tiers of career progression from employment to university.

The Academy also has a locally recognised culture and ethos that enable all learners to achieve their potential in a challenging, vibrant, caring and friendly atmosphere.

• If you are interested in joining the Academy next year and were unable to attend, contact Cordeaux Academy on 01507 606555 and arrange a tour.
