CORDEAUX School are showing off their sporty side as both students and teachers have recently excelled in a wide breadth of sporting accolades.

Amongst the quartet is assistant headteacher, David Gates who recently went over to Eilat, Israel to compete in the Triathlon Championships in the super veteran category.

Mr Gates came 8th overall in the competition and currently represents Great Britain.

Continuing on the triathlon run, Mr Gates is due to compete in the Woodhall Spa Triathlon on June 3rd alongside Mrs Kate Kemp and year seven pupil, George Walker.

Mrs Kemp decided to take part in the competition through a challenge given to her by friends and George is getting all the practice he can as he’s currently a member of the Louth Dolphins Swim Club and is trying to get into the national championships this year.

Finally year eight student, Alysia Goodwin has also recently excelled in both swimming and athletics. She has already competed in the National Cross County Championship in London earlier this year.

Is a member of both Louth Athletics Club and the Dolphins Swimming Club, competes in the shot put and Javelin. She is also taking part in this year’s County Athletics Championships.
