Cordeaux students celebrate success on GCSE Results Day

This year’s GCSE results saw some excellent results being achieved by students across a range of subjects at Cordeaux Academy today (Thursday August 20).

Jessica Cotton achieved 2 A*, 5 A and 3 B grades, and she plans to go on to Franklin College in Grimsby to study drama, history and psychology at A-Level.

Meanwhile, George Johnstone and George Ware both secured two A*, four A and four B grades, Abbie Johnson achieved four As, five Bs and one C, while Skye Kirkham achieved four A and three B grades.

Rebecca Appleton, from Manby, achieved six GCSEs and she will go on to study Health and Social Care.

Academy Principal, Patrick Daley, said, “We are very proud of our students and we congratulate them on their achievements and the hard work that they have put into their studies during their time at Cordeaux. We wish them well as they embark upon the next chapter in their lives.”

Mr Daley added: “We build on our successes and we will never be complacent, we are on an improvement journey and this year’s results reflect that. It does bode well for the future.”
