A large group of Year 11 students from Cordeaux Academy took a trip to North Wales at the end of last month to visit Caernarfon and Conway Castles as part of the GCSE History course.

The 38 students spent two hours exploring the castle with staff members, led Head of Humanities, Mr Bowman.

The group stayed at Conway Youth Hostel during their trip and enjoyed some free time in Caernarfon. In the evening most students walked the town walls with ‘Sherpa File’.

This visit was an important part of a controlled assessment that the students will be completing soon.
