Costa Coffee has withdrawn its application to set up a new cafe at 92 Eastgate in Louth.
A Costa spokeswoman explained that the decision to withdraw the application follows a consultation with the relevant case officer, and that it is possible a similar application could be submitted in the new year.
The spokeswoman added that any future application could be for the same location, or possibly a new opportunity at a different site.
Costa submitted their application to make adjustments to the retail unit (previously the home of the Country Casuals clothes shop) back in August, followed by application to provide a new shop front and change the use of the store in October. The plans had support from the Town Council.
