Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is looking for new recruits to join the team at Binbrook Fire Station.
The station is holding a recruitment event next Monday, October 20 from 6pm to 8pm, when local residents are being asked to consider a career in the service if they live or work nearby and want to help out their community station.
“I began my career in the fire service 25 years ago, following in the footsteps of my father,” said Karl Foxall, watch commander support at Binbrook fire station.
“I started off working at a small village station, much like Binbrook, and know how important they are within the local community from serving and protecting the public to responding to medical emergencies; every community station plays their part.
“We’re encouraging both men and women to come along to the recruitment event for an informal chat, where they can find out more about the role and see first-hand what is involved in being an on-call firefighter.”
A recruitment guide and application forms are available online at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/lfr.
