Council advice to keep pets safe on Bonfire night

RESIDENTS are being urged to protect their pets this bonfire night.

East Lindsey District Council’s Dog Warden, Sue Garland, said: “Bonfire night is the worst evening of the year for many animals.”

The council advise pets are microchipped, are fed well before the fireworks and kept warm and comfortable with plenty of blankets and toys.

They also say small animals should be given extra hay so they are able to burrow.
