The following awards have been made towards good causes in our area through East Lindsey District Council’s ‘Councillor Community Grants’ scheme.

Coun Pauline Watson awarded £771.50 to St James’ Church towards funding for an educational project to 
allow children to explore local history and culture.

Coun Watson also awarded £1,000 to Louth Tennis Club to fund six weeks of coaching sessions at the Charles Street Recreation Ground, and £228.50 to Tinies Breakfast to buy a sound system.

Coun Tony Bridges awarded £304.99 to Tetney Pre-School Playgroup to buy an iPad for use during assessments and monitoring.

Coun Sandra Harrison awarded £199.90 to Saltfleet Sports and Social Field Committee to buy dog litter bins for the sports field.

Coun Terry Knowles awarded £500 to The Honeysuckle Club to organise a mystery tour outing for members of the club, and he also awarded £500 to Grimoldby Cricket Club towards playing field repairs.

Coun Robert Palmer awarded £250 to North Somercotes Parish Council towards a ‘meals on wheels’ service.

Coun Daniel Simpson awarded £500 to the Lincoln sand Lindsey Blind Society to fund training for a befriending service for people suffering from visual impairment.
