TWO local men have been sentenced to a combined total of six years in prison for carrying out a £50,000 burglary in Sutton on Sea.
James Simon Power, 24, of Sutton on Sea was sentenced to four years and Nathan Mark O’Connor, 28, of Sandilands received two years and a compensation order for stealing over £50,000 worth of cash and jewellery.
Lincoln Crown Court heard they broke into the property in The Broadway on September 8, 2010 before making off with the cash and goods.
DC Gary Hugo, from Louth CID, said: “This was a high value burglary that caused great distress to the victim.
“Lincolnshire Police are committed to identifying those criminals who have such a negative impact on our communities and this sentence sends the message to others that they will be caught and punished for their offences.”
