A MURDER investigation has been launched by Humberside Police following the discovery of further body parts in the Tetney Lock area.
Four men have been arrested including a 19-year-old, 21-year-old, 31-year-old and a 43-year-old from the Grimsby area.
A severed leg was found on Thursday March 3 and is thought to have belonged to a white male in his early 30s.
Officers from Humberside Police are working closely with officers from Lincolnshire Police to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
Premises in Grimsby and Scunthorpe are being secured by police.
Senior Investigating Officer Mark Oliver said: “We are in the very early stages of a murder enquiry and I would appeal to anyone who may have information to contact police as a matter of urgency.
“We are following a number of lines of enquiry, but I am appealing to anyone who may have seen a suspicious vehicle in the area any time from the early hours on Thursday March 3.
“This is a live and active enquiry and the smallest piece of information could be vital to our investigation.
