Louth man remanded in custody after robbery attempt charges

A 19-year-old man has been sent into custody following an appearance at Skegness Magistrates Court this morning, after being charged with two attempted robberies and possession of an offensive weapon in Louth this week.

Police were called to a business unit on Station Estate, Newbridge Hill, just before 2pm on Monday (December 9).

Connor Thomas Scott, 19, of Keddington Road, Louth, allegedly entered the unit and demanded money from a female employee. He is also charged with a second attempted robbery at the Co-op store in Newbridge Hill.

Scott was further charged with possession of an offensive weapon, namely a machete.

He will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday December 24.
