A MAN from Mablethorpe has been sentenced to five years in prison for a number of offences including assaulting a lorry driver in Skegness on April 21.

Daniel Boulton (pictured above), 20, of Hickory Way, was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday, October 17.

He pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm as well as burglary and theft.

PC Stephanie Snell said: “It is very satisfying to be able to bring a sense of closure to the victim, and reassurance that Lincolnshire Police have done everything we can to bring an offender to justice.

“This was an unprovoked and vicious attack which has profoundly affected the victim, and to be able to tell him that the offender is now off the streets, is very pleasing.”
