Man arrested after alleged knife robbery in Louth
A Louth man has been arrested in relation to an alleged knife robbery in the town on Wednesday evening.
Police were called to Eastgate in Louth at around 6.35pm after a report of a fight in progress.
An ambulance was called to attend to a 25-year-old Louth man who received minor injuries, but did not require a visit to hospital.
A 44-year-old Louth man was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
The 25-year-old man assaulted was later arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with an earlier incident at around 5pm also in Louth, in which it was alleged that threats were made with a knife.
No one was reported to have been injured.
