Man charged with affray after armed police incident in Louth

A man has been charged with affray after the 15-hour police negotiation in Louth on Boxing Day.

Police have charged Gary John Ward, 57, of Keddington Crescent, Louth, with affray in relation to the incident.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Boston Magistrates Court today.

As reported, police forcibly entered the house in Keddington Cresent at 3.45pm on Boxing Day and arrested the man after negotiations lasted from midnight on Christmas Day.
