Police appeal after burglary at Louth bookmakers

Police are appealing for information after the Coral bookmakers in Queen Street, Louth was burgled.

The incident happened overnight between Monday and Tuesday and the offenders forced entry to the premises via a rear door, using a circular saw to remove the safe which was bolted to the ground.

The safe was then been loaded into a purple wheelie bin and wheeled to the Market Place and transported away. It is believed that the offenders used a blue Ford Escort that had been stolen from the Cannon Street car park earlier in the evening.
