Police appeal after woman is attacked in Mablethorpe

A LOCAL man has been bailed after a woman from Hampshire was allegedly attacked in Mablethorpe on Sunday morning.

The 22-year-old woman sustained serious facial injuries including a fractured skull and cheekbone in an incident at the junction of Victoria Road and the High Street around 4.30am on Sunday, April 15.

She was taken to Lincoln County Hospital for treatment and a 24-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm before being bailed pending further police enquiries.

DC Becky Manson, from Skegness Police Station, is appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the altercation to contact Lincolnshire Police.

This is incident number 61 of April 15, 2012.
