LINCOLNSHIRE Police have added to their band of Police Community Support Officers, with five young pupils from Sutton on Sea Primary signing up.

Sutton pupils Kiara Connolly, Olivia Vine, Drew Simmonds and Chad Perkins will each begin work as Junior PCSOs as part of this new community initiative.

They will receive training from local PCSOs Ian Greenshields and Joanna Drake before helping with security marking of bicycles and other property and acting as child representatives in school meetings.

PCSO Ian Greenshields said: “The JPCSO scheme is a great opportunity to work collectively to help reduce issues that affect the quality of life for all the students of Sutton on Sea Primary School, and to forge links into the wider community.

“We at the Mablethorpe and Alford Neighbourhood Police Team are very excited with this scheme and are sure those chosen for the role will do brilliantly.”
