Louth Police have issued a warning to parents this summer holiday after youths were seen running away from a crime scene, and two young girls were discovered in a dangerous derelict building in Manby.

Police said that, on Wednesday (August 19) some hay bales just outside Louth were deliberately ignited, and youths were seen fleeing from the scene. On Twitter, Louth Police asked the open question: “Do you know what games your kids are playing this holiday?”

Also, earlier this week, two young girls were found inside a derelict and unsafe building in Manby, again leading Louth Police to question “Do you know where your kids are?” on social media.

Parents are reminded to ensure that they know where their children are during the school summer holidays.
