POLICE say the wave of riots that have broken out across the country have still not thankfully spread to Lincolnshire.
ACC Carl Langley said: “At present we are still not experiencing any incidents of public disorder in Lincolnshire related to this issue.
“We still have officers deployed in London assisting the Met, but our message to people in Lincolnshire is that it is very much business as usual in terms of our policing of the county.
“The officers who assisted in Nottingham last night have returned to Lincolnshire and will be on standby tonight to respond to any incidents in the county should they arise.
“At this time we have ample staff to respond should the need arise and Specials are also volunteering their services to add an extra layer of policing cover.
“We would like to thank members of the public who have given us information about possible developing issues in the community. Thankfully this has so far not developed into any problems, but we would like them to continue feeding us information about what is happening.”
