THE ANNUAL bikeathon in aid of the Emma-Jayne Memorial Fund will take place on Sunday, July 22.
Last year over £5,000 was raised in memory of Emma-Jayne Knowles, who died of a brain tumour aged just 22 in 1998.
July’s bikeathon will be the 13th and will set off from the Splash in Little Cawthorpe. Entrants can take part in a 12 or 30 mile bike ride or a 3.5 mile walk.
Emma-Jayne’s parents Ruth and Tony this year hope to raise enough for six rehabilitation chairs, micro forceps and micro scissors for Hull Royal Infirmary.
Ruth and Tony are holding a charity night at Sutton Social Club at 8pm on Saturday, April 21. Entry is £4.
