Discarded cigarette butt causes bin and shed fire in Louth

The fire crew in Louth were scrambled to a shed and bin fire in Monks’ Dyke Road on Tuesday afternoon.

The crew were called to the scene shortly after 2pm and used a hose wheel to put out the blaze.

They reported fire damage to the bin and light damage to the shed.

The cause of the blaze was found to be a discarded cigarette end which ignited the bin.
