LOCAL families and supporters of family charity Home-Start got together at Hubbard’s Hills in Louth on Saturday to shout out the message: ‘Don’t struggle on your own’!

The event took place to launch Home-Start East Lindsey’s ‘Here for you and your children’ campaign.

Home-Start East Lindsey scheme manager Tracey Ruddock said: “East Lindsey is currently home to over 6,500 children under five and we believe there are an unacceptable number of families at breaking point. We need them to know they are not on their own and that there is help available.”

Shari Ann Parsons, a trustee for HSEL after receiving support for three years from when her daughter was being diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder, added: “We were going through a difficult time with the diagnosis of our daughter Sharissa and our Home-Start volunteer helped us with the things we needed and signposted us to other support.

“We now want to help tell other families that this wonderful support is available.”
