Dragons’ Den success story inspires Monks’ Dyke pupils

ONE of the successful investments from hit BBC2 series Dragons’ Den was at Monks’ Dyke Technology College - via Skype.

Entrepreneur Neil Westwood, founder of the Magic Whiteboard, the world’s first portable whiteboard on a roll, hosted a multi-media seminar for students at the college.

It was part of Neil’s nationwide tour of schools to inspire the future workforce and budding entrepreneurs.

The Skype session covered his experience of appearing on Dragon’s Den and pitching in front of the fearsome dragons. The Magic Whiteboard got financial support from both Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis.

Neil said: “I feel really passionate that we should encourage entrepreneurship in this country.”
