East Lindsey District Council unveils ‘exciting programme’ of holiday activities for Louth, Mablethorpe and more

With the school holidays on the horizon, East Lindsey District Council has unveiled a programmed of sporting activities for local towns.

The district council’s successful Play Rangers scheme will start again on July 24 with free sporting activities taking place until August 30.

The sessions will take place each week between 11am and 3pm in Lancaster Drive, Skegness, on Mondays, Jessop Close, Horncastle, on Tuesdays, The Meadows, Skegness, on Wednesdays and Harvey’s Lane, Louth on Thursdays – except August 15 when the Louth session will take place at Lacey Gardens School.

Specialist Woodland Play Rangers sessions will also take place at Bain Valley Park, Horncastle on Fridays at a cost of £5 per child.

Girls’ Football sessions will take place at the Wainfleet Road Playing Fields, Skegness, on July 30 and August 1, 6, 8, 13 and 15 with sessions for 6-10-year-olds from 10.30am-noon, 11-15s between 12.15-1.15pm and 16+ from 1.30-2.30pm.

Sessions will be taken by a qualified FA coach and will cost £2 per session.

And, Louth’s Meridian Leisure Centre, Mablethorpe’s Station Sports Centre, Horncastle Swimming Pool and Skegness’s Embassy Swimming Pool will each host their own programme of holiday activities including trampolining, Water Walkerz, Family Splash time, athletics, Kwik Cricket, archery, tennis, climbing wall and a whole host of other fun activities.
