East Midlands in Bloom judges to visit Louth

JUDGES for the East Midlands In Bloom competition should see Louth at its best when they visit the town this summer.

A special tour of the town has been arranged for the judges when they visit on July 6.

Highlights of the route will include a whistle stop tour of Hubbard’s Hills and Westgate Fields, a walk past the church, a coffee break at Spout Yard, a tour through the town centre and an opportunity to see the regeneration work at the Gatherums.

The route will finish at the London Road Pavilion with a display of local growing projects, Lovely Louth entries and future In Bloom plans.

The route has been organised by the Louth In Bloom committee, a Louth Town Partnership initiative supported by Louth Town Council and Louth Civic Trust.

Alastair McPhie-Meiklejon from the Louth Civic Trust has been nominated as this year’s In Bloom Chairman.

She said: “For Louth to be successful in the competition we need as many members of the community to come forward to be involved.”
