PUPILS at King Edward VI Grammar School in Louth have been taking part in electricity safety lessons as part of a county campaign.
The presentation to the 11 and 12-year-olds was given by CE Electric UK’s Leena Markovic.
The presentation highlighted hazardous situations – such as trespassing in electricity substations, climbing pylons, and flying kites or fishing near overhead power lines.
Leena said: “The safety of the public is our number one priority and that’s why it’s so important that we take these potentially life-saving safety messages to schools across our network area. Many youngsters aren’t aware of how dangerous it is to play near electricity lines and substations.”
