THE Louth Playgoers youth drama group Wharfingers is extending to attract young adults.
Based at the Riverhead Theatre, Wharfingers has attracted 11 to 18-year-olds who want to share their love of the theatre and learn new skills. Now the company is also keen to attract creative young adults.
It will be running separate sessions to focus on the needs of two different age groups. On Thursday September 8 at 4.30pm, Wharfingers One will open its doors to 13 to 16-year-olds, followed by Wharfingers Two at 6pm, a more challenging course, designed to inspire 16 to 20-year-olds.
The younger age group will continue to stage productions appropriate to their age range, as they have been doing since Wharfingers was founded in 2001.
However, the company says extending the upper age limit opens up new possibilities for staging plays that appeal to the adult audience at Riverhead.
